Bilingual Case Aide Employment

I feel very fortunate to work with the refugee and asylee population at Catholic Charities Refugee Resettlement Office. Being one of the refugees resettled by the agency, I am now helping other people who come to this country who have the same hope I had when I came. Being familiar with the emotional roller coaster that goes on in the mind of the newly resettled refugees gives me strength to understand their challenges and assure them that we are here to help them find a job so that they can be self-sufficient. When we do their employment orientation in our office, the feeling of security for them and their family can be seen in the brightness of their faces, their smiles and the hope in their eyes.

One of our great employers which loves hiring refugees is the same company where I worked before I started working at the Refugee Office. Now I am helping our families to get employed there. The company is always happy to see me with the refugees in its office. It is always joyous to see our families succeed in their resettlement and we are very fortunate to be a part of their success.
