Care for Creation is a major theme of Catholic Social Teaching and an imperative of our faith. Through education and awareness, we are asked to re-engage with the environment in order to better take care of our most vulnerable brothers and sisters suffering the social injustices of environmental destruction.

Laudato Si’ Week – May 24-31, 2025
Laudato Si’ Week is held annually in May to mark the anniversary of Pope Francis’s landmark encyclical on creation care. Sponsored by the Vatican, this global celebration unites Catholics to listen and respond together to the cry of creation, rejoice in the progress we have made in bringing Laudato Si’ to life, and intensify our efforts through the Laudato Si’ Action Platform as well as other opportunities for education and action. Resources, including a Celebration Guide and a Social Media Kit, are available on the Laudato Si’ Week website.
