VOLUNTEER OPPORTUNITIES

There are many opportunities to assist our staff in addressing the needs of our neighbors experiencing food insecurities, such as:  

  • Restocking the food pantry 
  • Packing food boxes 
  • Distributing shopping bags  
  • Picking up food from the local food bank

Refugee Resettlement Volunteer Opportunities REFUGEE RESETTLEMENT PROGRAM

The community plays a crucial role in the corporal work of mercy, “Welcoming the Stranger,” especially as Catholic Charities prepares to assist growing numbers of refugees. By extending a welcoming hand, volunteers actively participate in the transformative journey of these individuals, providing not just resources but also the essential elements of understanding, acceptance, and community integration. Together, we can significantly impact the lives of those seeking refuge, fostering a sense of belonging and hope for a brighter future.  

You can help with any of the following volunteer opportunities:  

  • Helping move furniture and set up housing 
  • Assisting with taking clients to and from appointments. 
  • Tutoring 
  • Serving as an interpreter
  • Adopting a refugee family and helping to furnish an apartment.   
  • Adopting a refugee family and acting as a support team

DONATION KITS

Numerous opportunities await students or groups eager to contribute service hours or participate actively in donation projects. Whether it’s through volunteering time or organizing donation drives, these efforts contribute to the greater good and help address various needs within the community.
