Mental Health Counseling

Catholic Charities provides professional adult mental health services in four locations throughout western North Carolina.  Individual, couples/family, and group therapy (in some locations) are provided in Charlotte, Winston-Salem, Greensboro, and Asheville.  Bilingual counseling is offered in our Asheville location.  Services are offered by appointment only.

All mental health counseling staff possess a Master’s degree in either psychology, counseling or social work and are licensed to provide behavioral health care in North Carolina.  Catholic Charities is accredited by the Council on Accreditation.

Mental Health counselors:

  • Operate within the social teachings of the Catholic Church.
  • Provide professional evidence based therapeutic interventions that are effective in treating behavioral health problems ranging from relationship stress and adjustment problems to acute  mental illnesses.
