TOP Youth ProgramTransition Out of Poverty (TOP) Case Management Program

TOP offers individuals and families a custom path out of poverty. This transformative service helps individuals and families to develop a long term plan to overcome obstacles that keeps them from achieving their dreams.

TOP aims to disrupt the cycle of poverty by addressing the areas that are often the most challenging, such as food, employment and income, access to affordable healthcare, education, and safe and affordable housing.

TOP can offer the help and hope needed to bring about transformation. We respect those we serve and recognize every person has worth and deserves to discover his or her full potential.

Youth Empowerment Opportunity Program

Our Piedmont Triad Office offers case management supportive services for young people (12-19 years of age) through our Youth Empowerment Opportunity Program (YEOP). Services focus on strengthening the safety, well-being, self-sufficiency, and positive connections for young people enrolled, which will lead to stability and encourage them to finish high school.

Case management services meet basic needs, resolve conflicts, and improve family relationships to strengthen family stability. In addition, wraparound services, such as a food pantry, infant clothing closet, and immigration services, are available within the agency.

Community referrals are provided as needed.

Safe Space for Youth ProgramProject Safe Place

Catholic Charities is the monitoring agency for the Project Safe Place in Forsyth County. Safe Place is a network of “safe places” in the community designed to help young people (12-19 years of age) in crisis.

Safe Place locations in Forsyth County included Fire Stations, public schools, YMCAs, Parks and Recreation Centers, public transit buses, and other local businesses. These locations display the Safe Place logo, which identifies them as safe places for any young people in crisis requesting help.

Personnel at the Safe Place sites are trained on appropriate ways to respond to requests for help and have access to the agency’s 24-hour crisis phone line to engage professional staff to assess and respond to the need.
